- Machine washable - though the running them through the dryer a lot will kind of cook them after a while. Maybe that "air drying" thing would be a good idea for that?
Product Description
This pair of black Shock Wave pads is made of medium density foam padding about 3/4" thick. The outside is made of a durable elasticized fabric blend. It's a non-slip fit and holds shape and size through repeated use and washings. No special care is required (though we don't recommend machine drying since that kind of beats up any sort of padding).
The pad itself is cut in an oval shape and has relatively little mass. That means it works well on elbows too - without making you feel too bulky. We actually made them as low-mass knees pads, but they were more popular for our own use as elbow pads. Especially since they are not nearly as bulky as the "square" elbow pads we'd been using before.
For sizing we usually recommend that you match your t-shirt size. If you're getting them for your elbows, we don't recommend you step down in size at all. We've found that your arm is more sensitive to compression than your knees. Plus they don't need to be nearly as tight to stay in place on your elbows.
